Does Metro Moulded Parts make its own window channels, sweeper kits, and windshield seals, or are they the same parts I can get from other suppliers?

Parts We Manufacture In-House (99.8% of All Rubber Parts)
The vast majority of the rubber parts we sell β including window channels, door seals, trunk seals, and weatherstripping β are manufactured right here by Metro Moulded Parts. That means our own tooling, our own rubber compounds, and our own quality standards. When you order these parts, you're getting something uniquely ours, not a repackaged product from a shared supplier.
Parts We Source
There are two product categories where sourcing varies:
- Windshield Seals β Approximately 80% of our windshield seals are sourced from outside manufacturers. The remaining 20% we produce in-house.
- Sweeper Kits β All of our sweeper kits are currently sourced from outside manufacturers.
Because these items come from third-party producers, there is a possibility that a windshield seal or sweeper kit you purchased elsewhere could be the same or a similar product to what we carry for your application.
What This Means for You
If you've already tried a windshield seal or sweeper kit that didn't work for your classic car and you're wondering whether ours will be different, the honest answer is: it depends on your specific vehicle and the product in question. In some cases, our offering may come from different sourcing or tooling than what you've already tried. In other cases, it may not.
